Ukraine delivers nuclear power equipment for Belgian project

Equipment for a nuclear power plant in Belarus was delivered from Ukraine with no issues.
An official at the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant site said that some of the nuclear power equipment was manufactured in Ukraine as part of a contract with Power Machines, including a ventilating plant and condensing electric pumps, according to news agency BeITA. Other equipment, like the reactor shell, were delivered to the site last year for consequent manufacturing, the article said.
The plant will consist of two AES-2006 reactor types each with a generating capacity of 1,200 MW. The merged Russian company OAO NIAEP – ZAO ASE is the general designer and contractor of the plant. The first unit is scheduled to go online in 2018 and the second for 2020.
