GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy dedicates reactor training area

GE Hitachi

GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GEH) dedicated its new boiling water reactor under-vessel training area in North Carolina.

The training area is a state-of-the-art, full-size replica of the operating area underneath the reactor. The area has multiple work locations, including the simultaneous use of toolsets and work processes. The area also includes piped water in order to replicate conditions that workers encounter, such as when control rod drives are exchanged.
