Combined cycle power plant to use Toshiba steam turbine and generator

Toshiba Corp. said it is providing a 472-MW steam turbine and generator (STG) for a combined-cycle natural gas-fired power plant under construction in Tennessee.

The STG will be delivered in October 2016 to the Tennessee Valley Authority for the Allen Combined Cycle Power Plant. The plant is scheduled to come online in June 2018. It is being built to meet state and federal clean air act agreements.
