Siemens to supply wind turbines for Kansas project


Siemens (NYSE: SI) will supply wind turbines to a 48-MW wind energy project in Kansas.
NJR Clean Energy Ventures (NJRCEV), a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources, contracted Siemens for 21 SWT-2.3-108 turbines for the $85 million Alexander wind project along with a service and maintenance agreement. The nacelles will be assembled at Siemens’ facility in Kansas and the blades will be manufactured at a blade facility in Iowa.
The project is scheduled for completion in fall 2015.
