GE secures financing for 150-MW Briscoe Wind Project

GE Energy Financial Services (NYSE: GE) has secured the necessary financing for the 150-MW Briscoe Wind Farm in Briscoe County, Texas. The site will feature 81 GE 1.85-87 wind turbines. Additionally, GE will oversee operation and maintenance of the turbines under a 10-year full service agreement.

GE worked with Morgan Stanley on the construction debt and letter of credit agreements; and Capital Dynamics’ Clean Energy and Infrastructure (CEI) on the tax equity agreements.

Power produced from the wind farm is expected to be sold to the Electricity Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) electricity market.

Wanzek Construction will construct the facility, with commercial operations scheduled for the second half of 2015.
