First Reserve to acquire wind power project from Apex Clean Energy


First Reserve will acquire the 298-MW Kingfisher Wind power project from Apex Clean Energy. The project, located in Canadian and Kingfisher Counties in Oklahoma, is expected to be completed in 2015.

The firm projects the wind generation site to have a 20-year energy hedge for power produced, as well as long-term construction and operating/maintenance agreements. Apex will serve as the construction and asset manager for the project.

Financial terms of the transaction were not released.
