Lloyd’s Register Consulting and the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority (SSM) partnered to enhance prediction software to support the decision-making process for emergency response.

The two companies are developing an advanced interface for the Rapid Source Term Prediction (RASTEP) system that helps nuclear power plant operators understand likely consequences of issues given a set of conditions. That helps operators’ offsite emergency response planning process.

The joint industry project is scheduled for completion in August 2015.
