Clyde Bergemann to supply emissions control equipment to Polish cogeneration power plant


The Clyde Bergemann Power Group Europe has received at $10 million contract, from SBB Energy, to design, supply and commission SO2 and dust reduction systems for the Będzin cogeneration plant in Poland.

Under the contract, Clyde Bergemann will deliver a circulating dry scrubber, a pulse jet fabric filter system and associated material handling systems. The equipment is projected to reduce SO2 emissions to 130 μ/m3 and dust to 15 mg/m3.

SBB Energy is the Polish-based engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor for the plant.

Elektrociepłownia Będzin S.A., the plant’s operator, awarded the contract in order to meet the Emission Limit Values, under the European Industrial Emissions Directive.

Equipment implementation is scheduled to start in the first half of 2015.

The Clyde Bergemann Power Group provides products and services used in thermal power plants, industrial boiler systems and similar combustion processes.
