Cavendish Nuclear continues work on EDF Energy gas-cooled reactors

Cavendish Nuclear, a subsidiary of Babcock International Group, signed two agreements to continue supporting EDF Energy’s operations of its nuclear power plants.
The agreement means Cavendish Nuclear will continue to provide fuel route and other services for EDF Energy’s seven advanced gas-cooled reactors (AGR) for the remainder of their operating lives in 16 years time. The contract also covers services to EDF Energy’s pressurized water reactor (PWR) during the same period.
Cavendish Nuclear has provided specialist nuclear services to the AGR fleet since operations first began in 1976, and has also supported construction of the PWR at Sizewell B.
