Areva will perform outage, maintenance and engineering activities at the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station in Ohio.

Areva signed the contract with FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Co. (FENOC, NYSE: FE) to provide the services during the next three outages at the plant beginning in 2015. The integrated outage services contract includes refueling, steam generator inspection, and materials degradation inspection and mitigation. Areva will also perform nondestructive examinations of the pressurized water reactor’s components to ensure integrity and extend long-term operations.
