Alstom to maintain Olkiluoto nuclear island equipment


Alstom was awarded a five-year contract to maintain equipment at the Olkiluoto nuclear power plant in Finland.
Finnish utility TVO awarded the contract for Alstom to maintain the turbine island and process equipment on a nuclear island at the power plant. The service agreement is an extension of agreements in place since 2000, according to Energy Business Review. As part of the contract, Alstom will conduct year-by-year pre-defined service outage works on turbines, generators and auxiliary systems, and also process valves and control rods on the nuclear island at Olkiluoto 1 and 2.
