NV Dry Lake LLC told the Nevada Public Utilities Commission in a Sept. 4 notice of a recent application to the U.S.
Bureau of Land Management for approval to construct a 200-MW (ac) solar photovoltaic facility.
The project would involve approximately one mile of 230-kV aboveground transmission line connecting to the existing Harry Allen Substation of Nevada Power. The project is to be located within the Dry Lake Solar Energy Zone approximately 15 miles northeast of Las Vegas in Clark County, Nevada.
The notice said the NV Dry Lake project would be constructed between September 2015 and December 2016, with commercial operation in December 2016.
