With an installed capacity of approximately 800-MW, the two new power plant units are owned by Pacific Light Power Pte. Ltd. (PLP).
Siemens provided two Model SGT5-4000F-gas turbines, two Model SST5-5000 HI-L-steam turbines, two SGen5-2000H-hydrogen-cooled generators, as well as the SPPA-T3000 instrumentation and controls system, and some parts of the electrical equipment.
In addition, Siemens and Samsung were also responsible for the erection and commissioning of the power plant.
“In this project, Siemens Energy Solutions as an experienced and well-recognized EPC contractor in partnership with Samsung C&T once again demonstrated its expertise in integrating the mechanical, electrical, and chemical processes of fossil fuel power plants,” said Lothar Balling, executive vice president and head of global project management.
