Dominion (NYSE: D) has promoted seven individuals to vice president.
Michael D. Frederick, is now vice president of LNG Operations. He will oversee operations at Dominion's Cove Point liquefied natural gas terminal. Frederick joined the company in 1982, working for Dominion Virginia Power. He received his bachelor's in mechanical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
Corynne Arnett was promoted to vice president of Dominion Generation's Financial Management. In her new role, she will be responsible for the financial planning, budgeting and forecasting for the company's generation business. Arnett joined Dominion in 1997. She received her bachelor's in accounting from Virginia Tech and a master's in taxation from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Lee D. Katz, now vice president and general auditor, began working for Dominion in 1997. He earned his bachelor's in business administration-accounting from the University of South Carolina and his MBA from VCU.
Mark D. Mitchell, vice president of Generation Construction, will oversee project management for new generation projects. Mitchell joined Dominion in 1999. Mitchell received a bachelor's degree from the University of Delaware and an MBA from Wilmington College.
Brian C. Sheppard, promoted to vice president of Pipeline Operations, will be responsible for Dominion Transmission's natural gas pipeline and storage operations. Sheppard joined Dominion in 1988. Sheppard received his bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering from Marietta College.
Alma W. Showalter's new role is vice president of Tax. She joined Dominion in 2001 and is a certified public accountant. Showalter holds a bachelor's and master's degree in accounting from the University of Virginia's McIntire School of Commerce.
Chester G. Wade, now the vice president for Corporate Communications, will oversee the company's internal and external communications. Wade joined the company in 1993, after receiving his bachelor's degree in journalism at Penn State University. He also holds an MBA from Robert Morris University.
New roles were effective Jan. 1, 2014.
