Solar PV maker buys MiaSole

China-based Hanergy Holding Group Ltd. completed the acquisition of U.S.-based copper indium gallium selenide (CIGS) thin-film photovoltaic (PV) panel maker MiaSole on Jan 9.

Hanergy said it plans to ramp up MiaSole’s PV solar panels factory to full capacity. The company also said it would not lay off anyone at the factory and expects to hire workers and will make an investment in MiaSole’s research and development.
