Luminant names McFarland as new CEO

Mac McFarland is the new CEO of Luminant as of Jan. 1. He succeeds David Campbell, who resigned effective Dec. 31 to begin a new role as a principal at an investment firm in Dallas.

McFarland previously was the chief commercial officer for Luminant. Before that, he held leadership roles in the finance, mergers and acquisitions and marketing and trading organizations at Exelon Corp. (NYSE: EXC) for nearly 10 years.

McFarland holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Virginia Tech and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Delaware, where he was a Bertuch Fellow.
