BPA chooses Drummond as new administrator

The U.S. Energy Department (DOE) has chosen Bill Drummond as the new administrator of the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA). Current BPA Administrator Steve Wright announced his plans to retire effective February 1.

Drummond began serving as BPA’s deputy administrator in October 2011. Before joining BPA, he was manager of the Western Montana Electric Generating and Transmission Co-Op in Montana for 17 years.

Drummond holds degrees in forestry from the University of Montana and economics from the University of Arizona.
