SunPower to supply 20 MW of solar panels

SunPower Corporation (NASDAQ: SPWR), a solar technology and energy services provider, has signed multiple supply agreements with Ecomax Japan Inc. Ecomax will purchase 20 MW of SunPower Corporation's E20/327 high efficiency solar panels.

Ecomax will build and operate multiple mega solar power plants, totaling 13 MW in Gunma, Japan. With the remaining 7 MW, Ecomax will build and operate solar installations sell the energy to local utilities. It will also own 3 MW as an independent power producer.

The solar panels will be installed in 2014.
