SunEdison to connect more than 68 MW of new solar power in Ontario in 2013

SunEdison announced today it expects to connect more than 68 MW of new solar power by the end of 2013, which would bring its total Ontario interconnections to around 130 MW.

According to SunEdison Canada General Manager and Vice President Michael Dilworth, the year has been the busiest the company has had in Canada. Renewable Energy Systems Canada recently announced it would be constructing 20 MW of solar photovoltaic projects for SunEdison.

Ontario’s government has supported the development of clean sources of energy and committed to ending coal-fired power generation in the province by the end of 2014.
