Nordex USA to provide wind turbines for ND wind power project

Nordex wind turbine

Wind Works Power Corp. announced it has placed an order with Nordex USA Inc. for up to 60 wind turbines for its Thunder Spirit wind power project in Hettinger, N.D.

The two-phase project will have a total capacity of 150 MW and has a power purchase agreement for around 105 MW with Montana Dakota Utilities.

Nordex is expected to deliver the turbines to the site starting in June 2015, and the project is expected to be completed by the end of 2015. The order enables the project to maintain eligibility for the federal production tax credit.
