EDF Energies Nouvelles

EDF Renewable Energy acquired the 200 MW Longhorn North Wind Project in Texas from Renewable Energy Systems Americas Inc. (RES Americas).

RES Americas will build the project under a Balance of Plant agreement. Construction will begin this month in order to qualify for the Production Tax Credit (PTC), and is expected to be completed at the end of 2014.

EDF Renewable Energy also secured a long-term, fixed-price hedge agreement for the output from the wind project.
