Consumers Energy selects 31 solar projects in Michigan

Thirty-one solar projects proposed by Michigan businesses, homeowners and nonprofits have been selected by Consumers Energy to supply renewable energy through the company's Experimental Advanced Renewable Program (EARP).

Consumers Energy selected 15 non-residential customer projects, in nine counties, ranging from 5 to 150kW. The projects will provide 663kW of total electric capacity.

Twelve counties will see a total of 16 residential customer projects, ranging from 2 to 18kW, providing 177 kW of total electric capacity.

The counties include: Allegan, Barry, Clare, Clinton, Eaton, Gladwin, Gratiot, Livingston, Isabella, Kent, Ingham, Ottawa, Genesee, Jackson, Shiawassee and Midland.
