Canadian Solar to provide 100 MW of modules for projects in China


Canadian Solar Inc. has been awarded a module supply agreement to provide 100 MW of solar photovoltaic modules with Zhenfa New Energy Science and Technology Co. Ltd. The modules will be used for three solar power projects located in Gansu Province and one solar project in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of China.

The company will supply around 400,000 pieces of its CS6P245P, CS6P250P and CS6P-255P modules for the projects. It will begin delivering the modules in mid-December and expects to complete delivery in January 2014. The three projects in Gansu Province are respectively located in Jiangyuguan, Guliang and Minqin and have a combined capacity of 200 MW. The project in Inner Mongolia is located in Sanxin and has a 50-MW capacity.
