Vestas to supply 400 Mw of wind turbines for U.S. wind projects EDP Renovaveis

Vestas will be providing wind turbines to EDP Renováveis (EDPR) to be used for a combined 400 MW of wind power projects in the U.S., the company announced Thursday. The projects are part of the master supply agreement signed between Vestas and EDPR in April 2010.

Vestas will be supplying its V110-2.0 MW turbines for the U.S. projects, although the companies are not yet disclosing the projects’ names and specific locations. Vestas will manufacture the blades, towers and nacelles for the projects at its factories in Colorado.

The projects also include five-year service agreements, according to Vestas.
