NextEra Energy to begin construction on Michigan wind power project

NextEra Energy begins construction on Michigan Pheasant Run wind power plant

NextEra Energy Inc. (NYSE: NEE) is beginning construction on its Pheasant Run Wind Project, according to a report from the Huron Daily Tribune.

The 149.6 MW project will be located in Huron County near Lake Huron and is scheduled to have 88 turbines, according to the report. Blattner Energy, a Minnesota-based company, will be handling the construction of the project.

The company is planning to have most of the large construction done by the end of the year, according to the Tribune.
