EPC contractor picked for pollution control project on coal-fired unit

Fagen, Inc. will be the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor for a pollution control project at the Lon D. Wright Power Plant in Fremont, Neb.

Fagen will provide the air quality control technology, detailed engineering and installation of the equipment at the plant so it can meet sulfur dioxide limits under environmental regulations.

The company will team with Siemens Environmental Systems & Services, which will be the primary technology partner for the project, and SEGA Inc., which will provide the overall engineering and integration of the Siemens (NYSE: SI) system.

Unit No. 8 at the Lon D. Wright Power Plant is a 90 MW coal-fired. The project will begin immediately and has an in-service target date of the 3rd quarter 2015.
