Duke acquires largest solar project in San Francisco

Duke Energy Renewables (NYSE: DUK) acquired a 4.5 MW solar power project in San Francisco from developer Recurrent Energy.

The Sunset Reservoir Solar Power Project is delivering power to the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission under a 25-year power purchase agreement. The project uses 24,000 solar panels mounted on top of the Sunset Reservoir. The plant provides electricity for city and county municipal services and facilities.
