Susquehanna nuclear Unit 1 back online after repairs

PPL Susquehanna nuclear Unit 1 valve repair Pennsylvania

Workers with PPL (NYSE: PPL) brought Unit 1 of the Susquehanna nuclear power plant in Pennsylvania back online July 22 after repairing one of four valves that control the amount of steam going into the turbine.

The unit was taken offline July 21 to repair the valve. Unit 2 kept operating at full power.

The plant is jointly owned by PPL Susquehanna and Allegheny Electric Co-Op and is operated by PPL Susquehanna.
