Phoenix Solar Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of Phoenix Solar AG, has signed a contract with Silicon Ranch Corp. to build a 38.6 MW solar power project in Georgia that will be the largest utility-scale solar power facility in the state.

The plant, Simon Solar Farm, is currently under construction and scheduled for completion by the end of the year.

Phoenix Solar will provide all engineering, procurement and construction services to Silicon Ranch to build the ground-mount solar park, which is located about 30 miles east of Atlanta. Phoenix Solar will also provide long-term operations and maintenance support for the facility.

Silicon Ranch and Georgia Power have signed a 20-year power purchase agreement for the electricity generated by the solar power project.
