Norvento USA files conditional use permit for Kansas wind power project

Norvento USA conditional use permit Bloom Wind Project Kansas

Norvento USA filed a conditional use permit with the Ford County Zoming Board in Kansas for the Bloom Wind Project last week, according to a report from the Dodge City Daily Globe.

The project would be located approximately 20 miles south of Dodge City, Kan., according to Norvento USA. The company currently plans to construct 60, 3 MW turbines on the site, though models with a capacity of more than 3 MW are under evaluation.

According to the Daily Globe, the project is expected to connect to the Kansas V-Plan Transmission line being constructed by ITC Great Plains. The transmission line is designed to connect western Kansas to eastern Kansas and improve reliability while allowing additional wind power projects to access the transmission grid.
