E.ON Climate and Renewables secures financing Anacacho wind farm Texas

E.ON Climate & Renewables has secured institutional equity financing for $76.6 million as well as a commitment to fund further capital contributions for the Anacacho Wind Farm from JPM Capital Corp. (J.P. Morgan) in exchange for a partial interest in the project.

The 100 MW project is located in Kinney County, Texas and consists of 55, 1.8 MW Vestas wind turbines. The project began commercial operations in December.

According to E.ON, the project is expected to generate more than $17 million in local taxes, pay $8 million in local salaries, earn landowners more than $34 million and is the largest business investment in Kinney County since the railway was built there in the 1880s.
