Enbridge buys half of Quebec wind power plant

Enbridge EDF EN Canada Saint-Robert-Bellarmin wind power project Quebec 50% stake Hydro-Quebec REpower turbines

Enbridge Inc. (TSX & NYSE: ENB) and EDF EN Canada closed on an agreement for Enbridge will acquire a 50 percent interest in the 80 MW Saint-Robert-Bellarmin Wind Project in Quebec.

The project began commercial operation in October 2012 and delivers electricity to Hydro-Quebec under a 20-year power purchase agreement. Borea Construction built the project using 40 REpower wind turbines.

EDF EN Canada Inc.'s operation and maintenance affiliate EDF Renewable Services Inc. will continue to provide long-term operations and maintenance services.
