Company buys 21.9 MW solar energy portfolio

D.E. Shaw Renewable Investments Bright Plain Renewable Energy Macquarie Capital California five solar energy projects portfolio

D.E. Shaw Renewable Investments and Bright Plain Renewable Energy will purchase five solar projects from Macquarie Capital in Tulare County, Calif.

The projects have a total generating capacity of 21.9 MW and were originally developed by ImMODO Energy Services Corp. ImMODO will continue to serve as the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor for the projects, and will also provide operations and maintenance services to the plants once they are operational. Pacific Gas & Electric (NYSE: PCG) and Southern California Edison will buy the output from the projects. KeyBank N.A. provided construction and term financing to the projects.
