Susquehanna nuclear Unit 2 back online after planned outage

Susquehanna nuclear power plant Pennsylvania Unit 2 back online planned refueling and maintenance outage PPL

PPL Susquehanna said it brought Unit 2 at the Susquehanna nuclear power plant in Pennsylvania back online June 5 after completing a refueling and maintenance outage.

The shutdown began April 13 and also included turbine inspections and replacing parts in the turbine assembly along with replacing about 40 percent of the uranium fuel.

Unit 1 operated throughout Unit 2’s shutdown, but it was disconnected from the grid May 9 in order to begin a scheduled outage for the same kind of work as Unit 2.
