Solar photovoltaic projects come online in Ontario

Recurrent Energy solar photovoltaic Ontario Power Authority Mitsubishi Corp Osaka Gas

Six solar photovoltaic projects providing 70 MWp of electricity started commercial operations in two Ontario communities.

Solar developer Recurrent Energy said the projects are the first of nine total to reach commercial operations in a 100 MWp portfolio sold to Mitsubishi Corp. and Osaka Gas. The remaining three projects are expected to come online by early 2014.

The Ontario Power Authority will receive the output under 20-year feed-in tariff agreements.
