New business unit to market deploy gasification equipment

Synthesis Energy Systems Inc. (SES, Nasdaq: SYMX) is forming a new business unit to help deploy its gasification technology, equipment and services for the distributed power generation market.

The new unit will design and sell SES’ gasification technology as a package of equipment, technology and engineering combined with technical and operating services to produce syngas fuel for power generation for 50 to 100 MW scale plants. SES and GE (NYSE: GE) announced in April that they would jointly evaluate and market a small-scale power generation unit combining SES’ gasification technology with GE’s LM-2500+G4 aeroderivative gas turbines.
