Duke Energy names new president and CEO

Duke Energy names new president and CEO Lynn Good CFO Jim Rogers retirement

The Board of Directors of Duke Energy (NYSE: DUK) unanimously elected Lynn Good as its next president and CEO. She will replace Jim Rogers, who will continue to serve as chairman of the board until his retirement on Dec. 31, 2013. Good will also serve as a director on the board beginning on July 1.

Good served as Duke Energy’s executive vice president and chief financial officer since July 2009. Before that, she was a group executive and president of Duke’s Commercial Businesses organization.

Rogers served as president and CEO since 2006. He announced his retirement in November 2012. Rogers will also be one of the keynote speakers at POWER-GEN International 2013 in Orlando.
