Construction completed at natural gas-fired peaking plant

Walnut Creek Energy completed construction on a 500 MW simple-cycle natural gas-fired peaking plant in Industry, Calif. Walnut Creek is a subsidiary of Edison Mission Group and Edison International (NYSE: EIX).

The Walnut Creek Energy Park uses five GE (NYSE: GE) LMS100 natural gas-fired combustion turbine generators. Kiewit was the engineering, procurement and construction contractor for the project.
