Suzlon bringing wind turbines to N. American market

Suzlon Group said it has upgraded its S97-2.1 MW wind turbine to handle higher wind speeds in a 60 Hz version for the North American market. The turbines will be available for sale after May 8 and for delivery in December 2013.

The S97 is designed to achieve higher average wind speed operation through modifications to the controller software and use of enhanced blade fiberglass materials.
