Washington Gas Energy Systems to build solar power project in Massachusetts

Washington Gas Energy Systems Inc. has announced it has signed a contract to build, own and operate a solar power project for the town of Bellingham, Mass. The 3,802 KW project will consist of 12,672 solar panels.

Washington Gas Energy Systems will own and operate the facility under a 20-year power purchase agreement. The project was developed by NextSun Energy and will be engineered and constructed by Gehrlicher Solar.

Construction of the project began last month and will be completed in June.
