Walgreens, SolarCity to install 22 solar projects in Colorado

Walgreens (NYSE, Nasdaq: WAG) and SolarCity (Nasdaq: SCTY) are expanding Walgreen’s renewable energy initiative by installing solar systems at 22 Walgreens stores in 14 cities across Colorado.

Both companies completed a solar project at a store on Smoky Hill Road in Aurora. Walgreens has been implementing solar since 2007, the company said in a statement, and pledged to reduce its energy use by 20 percent by 2020.
