Vestas to supply wind turbine parts for Alberta project


Vestas secured a conditional order for the delivery of 166 V100-1.8 MW wind turbines and a 20-year service and maintenance agreement for the 299 MW Blackspring Ridge Wind Project in Alberta, Canada, a joint venture between EDF EN Canada and Enbridge (TSX, NYSE: ENB). Deliveries are scheduled for the second half of 2013, with commissioning expected in mid-2014.

Vestas’ Colorado factories will manufacture the components, while EDF EN Canada and Enbridge will develop and own the project.
