Solar PV project dedicated on college campus

Salt River Project (SRP) and SunPower Corp. (Nasdaq: SPWR) are dedicating a 1 MW solar photovoltaic project at Arizona State University’s Polytechnic campus in Mesa, Ariz.

The facility is the first deployment of the SunPower C7 tracker technology. SunPower engineered and constructed the plant and is currently operating and maintaining it.

SRP is buying the output from the project under a power purchase agreement, and ASU is purchasing the power from SRP.
