SoCal Edison to buy output from planned solar PV project

Southern California Edison (SCE) signed a 20-year power purchase agreement to buy 20 MW of solar photovoltaic energy from 8minutenergy Renewables LLC and saferay Inc.’s Redcrest Solar Farm in California. The contract is subject to approval by the California Public Utilities Commission.

Construction on the project is scheduled to begin in 2015, with the site expected to be operational by mid-2015.
