SDG&E signs five solar and wind power purchase agreements

San Diego Gas & Electric signs power purchase agreements wind solar Northlight Power TerraGen Development E.ON Climate Renewables

San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) signed five renewable power purchase agreements for a total of 62 MW of wind and solar output.

SDG&E signed two contracts for 14.7 MW with TerraGen Development Co. LLC for two wind projects in Kern and Riverside counties, and a 20 MW solar PPA with E.ON Climate and Renewables LLC for a project planned in Kern County. SDG&E also signed a 7 MW solar contract with Northlight Power and a 20 MW solar contract with Silverado Power LLC.

SDG&E signed 13 renewable contracts in 2012 and 23 contracts in 2011 totaling 1,750 MW of generation capacity.
