S&C Electric to procure, build solar PV project

S&C Electric Green States Energy solar photovoltaic New Mexico

S&C Electric Co. was awarded a $7.9 million contract by Green States Energy to provide procurement and construction services for a 2.5 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) farm near Roswell, N.M.

The project needs to enter operations by July 11 in order to qualify for the local utility¹s renewable energy incentive program. In order to meet that schedule, S&C brought together a team including Shoals Technologies Group, which will supply racking and DC Balance of Systems components, including pre-fabricated wire harnesses and DC Combiner Boxes. S&C also developed a solution that divides the system into 100 kW sections tied to the owner's meters.

Engineering and construction is currently underway and is expected to be completed by the July deadline.
