Mass Megawatts launches campaign for first profitable quarter in 15-year history

Mass Megawatts Wind Power Inc. launched an effort Monday to be profitable in the fiscal year ending April 30, 2014 for the first time in the company’s 15-year history, according to a statement released by the company.

That goal will be “contingent on the successful marketing of electricity at a deep discount in target geographical areas,” the company stated. Much of the effort of reaching a profitable fiscal year is based on a revenue matching program from Independent Energy Associates working with the company in an effort to obtain customers.

According to the company, its expansion into the retail electrical market “is a logical, strategic progression” that will improve its future earnings potential. The company has recently completed a wind augmentation system and states that system, along with a new retail sales business and very little debt, positions the company to increase production of the new augmentation units in the short term while expanding the company’s infrastructure to support long-term mass production goals.
