Infigen signs two power pruchase agreements with SoCalEdison

Infigen Energy announced Tuesday that Infigen Energy US Development LLC has entered into two 20-year power purchase agreements with Southern California Edison to supply electricity from two solar projects located in Kern County, Calif.

The two projects, Wildwood Solar I and Pumpjack Solar 1 have a nameplate capacity of 20 MW each. The projects are part of a joint development arrangement between Infigen and Pioneer Green Solar II LLC.

The projects are “well advanced in the development cycle,” according to a statement from Infigen. Each project has obtained conditional use permits from the Kern County Planning Commissions and are in the process of executing interconnection agreements with Pacific Gas & Electric and the California ISO.

The projects are expected to begin construction in 2014.
