FuelCell sells cogen power plant to Connecticut hospital

FuelCell Energy Inc. (Nasdaq: FCEL) sold a 1.4 MW fuel cell power plant for installation at a hospital in Hartford, Conn.

Hartford Steam Co. purchased the plant and will sell the electricity and steam generated by the plant to the hospital under a long-term energy purchase agreement. Excess heat not used by the hospital will be supplied to the district heating system that is owned and operated by Hartford Steam and serves a magnet school system.
