Fuel Tech to supply emissions controls to several projects

Fuel Tech Inc. (Nasdaq: FTEK) received $4.3 million worth of air pollution control orders.

The largest of the orders is from an unnamed Midwest utility for a nitrogen oxide (NOx) reduction project on a coal-fired boiler. The project will use Fuel Tech’s HERT High Energy Reagent Technology and NOxOUT Selective Non-Catalytic Reduction injection technologies. Deliveries are expected for late 2013.

Other orders include preliminary engineering for an advanced selective catalytic reduction system, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modeling and an SNCR demonstration project for a domestic industrial customer.
